Boomtown is a crazy immersive ever-changing landscape so there is always something new. It has many new stages and areas to explore this year.
Children are certainly not an afterthought at Boomtown. Kidztown has it’s own interactive street full of performers. It has workshops in arts, crafts, science and circus skills. It even has a radio station where kids can run their own radio show. To add to the excitement, Boomtown performers often show up to be interviewed.
And now Kidztown is getting a brand new circus-themed stage.
This new stage will even host some of the major Boomtown acts. They will be performing extra family friendly shows in Kidztown!
Town Centre headliners and enigmatic American six piece band known for their fusion of salsa, jazz, funk, reggae and rap OZOMATLI presents OZOKIDZ. Kidztown favourites Laid Blak brings their urban reggae that touches on jazz, funk, soul and hip-hop. There will also be UK rap veterans Dr Syntax and Pete Cannon, The Mighty John Street Ska Orchestra with their old school ska. RAVER TOTS X REGGAE ROAST PRESENT: REGGAE TOTS! bring their reggae and dancehall spectacular for kids.
Boomtown’s youngest DJ and mini superstar DJ Archie will be making an appearance this year. Anyone who has seen Kid Carpet knows that you won’t be getting his silly tunes out of your head for weeks. Junior Jungle bring their hilarious fun, FUNDMC bring a kid’s house party, and Big Fish Little Fish will have the whole family on the dance floor.
