Exciting news – our 2013 Festival Kidz Award winners will be announced tomorrow!
We had an amazing response from you, so thank you to everyone who filled in our survey and helped us to decide.
To be eligible for an award, a festival must have been either visited by a Festival Kidz team member, or have received at least 10 responses to our survey.
The festivals were judged on the following criteria:
1. Activities and workshops on offer to children
2. Additional facilities on offer for babies and toddlers and small children
3. Quality and variety of overall entertainment on offer
4. Camping and toilets
5. Food and drink
6. Value for money
7. Green credentials – ie Recycling and sustainable power use
The Festival Kidz team have discussed and made decisions based on their own experiences, and from reading all the feedback from you. The awards are entirely independent and based only on parents’ feedback.
We are giving awards in 4 categories:
Festival of the Year – this is the festival that scored the highest in all criteria
Gold Award – festivals that scored ‘good’ in all criteria and ‘exceptional’ in most criteria
Silver Award – festivals that scored ‘good’ in most criteria, and ‘exceptional’ in some criteria
Best Day Festival – this is the day festival that scored the highest in all criteria
