There will be no more Croissant Neuf Summer Parties

An announcement in January 2015 on their Facebook page says:

Hi Croissant Neufers – Just a quick note to sat that there will not be a CNSP again this year. . sorry folks . . We would love to be able to say otherwise but the truth is we just can’t make it pay and , not being rich peeps, we can’t afford to work 8 months for nothing. We know our festival was unique and we all miss doing it very very VEEERY much…

The greenest and one of the most family friendly festivals in the UK – with all the entertainment of a great festival but none of the crowds, plus a huge amount for the children to do.

CNSP is a big family!   The dedicated team that puts all this together have been friends for 20 years – some of them for longer.  Their kids have grown up together in festivals, and today they are the main driving force of the event.  Most of them have known each other all their lives and we hope the real warmth and friendship and our crazed obsession with building great parties shines through. From the moment you arrive you’ll be looked after – their team of festival baggage handlers will meet you and help you take your baggage to your camping spot and there’s always a team of volunteers around and about the site if you have any problems.

Children and Families

shipBig Top Mania provides the kid zone with shows specially for children, a great collection of games, toys and circus equipment for children of all ages to try out and a dedicated area for toddlers.

A team of enthusiastic sports nuts usually organises games every day – including football, cricket rounders and the wonderfully silly CNSP Olympics.  It all culminates in a five-a-side football tournament on Sunday afternoon.  They also organise a Treasure Hunt for children of all ages, even grandparents.  On Friday night they have CNSP’s famous and possibly the only pub quiz on the festival circuit, with amazing kitsch prizes, and great respect to the winners.

There’s a great selection of workshops for grown ups and kids, highlights include Lantern Making – with the chance to join in the lantern parade on Sunday evening.  Rap workshops, Dance classes and a chance to show off at the vintage Tea Dance on Saturday afternoon.

The Hill FortThe Iron Age hill fort, planted with mature specimens of every native English hardwood tree and offering stunning views of the surrounding countryside is almost worth the admission price on its own.
