Jersey Folklore Festival is the latest addition to Jersey’s live music calendar from the team behind Jersey Live, and plans are well underway for a festival that will be unlike anything yet seen on Jersey’s shores. The first of the two incredible headliners was today announced as the legend himself: VAN MORRISON!
Two days of alternative live music, comedy, theatre, poetry and film will take place across two stages at a site yet to be announced in Jersey.
Line up:
3 times Grammy-nominated artist Joan Armatrading will be playing! Joan holds the distinction of being the first UK female artist to enter the US Billboard Blues Chart at Number One, with 2007′s Into The Blues, and has won numerous awards and nominations.
And if that’s not enough, then Van the Man will be topping the bill on Saturday 30th June. The winner of 6 Grammy Awards, Van Morrison OBE is without doubt one of rock n’ roll’s most enduringly loved songwriters, with hits such as the immortal Brown Eyed Girl. He has 33 studio albums to his credit and is truly deserving of his legendary status.
Site, Tickets and Facilities:
The festival site will have a main music stage as well as a second stage featuring comedy, acoustic acts, theatre, film, poetry and literature.
