Don’t confuse this with the main Social Festival, which is a strictly over 18 event. The Family Social appears to has been discontinued, if you know different please let us know in the comments below.

Introducing The Family Social, a family-friendly boutique day festival and sister festival to The Social – a dance festival featuring an array of renowned international DJs, The Family Social will cater to all generations with an appealing line-up of music spanning decades including legendary soul and funk outfit Earth, Wind & Fire Experience ft. Al Mckay, iconic American group Sister Sledge, House music veterans The Shapeshifters and 80’s soulful group Brand New Heavies.

Located a stones throw from London at the beautiful Mote Park (formerly the location for Radio One’s Big Weekender 2008) both The Family Social and The Social are brought together by Saved Records, the independent music label of renowned house and techno DJ Nic Fanciulli. The Maidstone local has been bringing credible dance music to Kent over the years through the much-loved Saved parties. Wanting to push boundaries and continue to share his love and passion for music with the local community, The Social and The Family Social are the natural progression for Saved and an extremely exciting prospect.

I’m really excited to be creating a boutique festival in my home town. The Family Social is a great excuse to bring the music I love to Maidstone and share it with my friends and family.” says Nic Fanciulli.

In addition to the carefully curated line-up, an acute emphasis will be placed on the local community and The Family Social aims to source locally produced food on site and involve nearby universities with creative aspects of the festival. Set on building an intimate feel for families to enjoy great music as well as offering market stalls and free fun fair rides for the children.
