And Blissfields 2017 pulled out all the stops to create a perfectly bizarre and fun family festival this year.

We’d last visited Blissfields as a family in 2015 for the first time and fallen in love with this fantastic little treasure. After discovering the theme for 2017 was BIZARRE we were all pretty excited to explore what the brilliant Blissfields team had in store.

More fun than a house party!

Blissfields 2016

The big question was finally answered this year – can Blissfields survive bad weather? Every other year it had been blessed with hot sunny days, but in 2016 we were dealt heavy showers and storms. This could have dampened our spirits but it didn’t, as the answer was a definite YES! Read more…

CIAF 2014

Here are our top picks for 2015!

Whether a festival is good for you depends on what music you’re into and what other things you like doing at festivals, as well as the age of your kids. If you are new to festivals with kids, you may want to read our guide to Choosing the right Family-Friendly Festival.

We have included our affiliate links in the listings – if you click “Buy Tickets Now” you will go straight to the ticket page for your chosen festival. You will not pay anything for this but the festival will give us a small commission to keep Festival Kidz up and running – so please use them!

Blissfields 2014 Review

4th-5th July 2014

Blissfields (or ‘the one with the hammocks’ as my eldest calls it) secured its place in our festival calendar last year, with its perfect blend of great music and small friendly vibe. This year it did not disappoint, improving on its facilities and offering even more for families.

In the Fields of Bliss and Angels

8Blissfields is one of those festivals that just manages to get everything right. We’ve only been once but it’s already become a family favourite because they manage to fit everything – great bands, hidden areas, fantastic kids’ entertainment – all in a very small space, yet it somehow retains its laid back and friendly vibe… just without all the walking!

The children’s area run by Angel Gardens is undoubtedly the highlight for families, and so Blissfields secured us an exclusive interview with the lovely Angel Sam – she talks about Blissfields, working at festivals, gaining a sense of belonging and the importance of spare socks.
