Friday – Day One

Our much anticipated fun weekend at the fabulous Cornbury Festival began on Friday afternoon as we headed towards the beautiful countryside of Great Tew, Oxfordshire. The sky was full of grey rain clouds but our mood was light as our destination was reached without any traffic problems at all, parking was well organised and lucky us, the sun broke through as we excitedly took the short haul from car to box office to collect our media passes and camping tickets courtesy of Festival Kidz!!

Top 15 Music Festivals for Under-5’s – 2012


Top Festivals for Babies and Toddlers 2012 (for 2013 – click HERE!)

For really young kids we tend to recommend smaller festivals, particularly if you are not an experienced festival-goer.  Smaller festivals have the dual advantage of not being so vast that a trip back to the tent for a forgotten dummy takes half the morning, and the stage areas are usually less crowded meaning you can get closer to the bands without fearing your little one getting accidentally trampled on or lost.  That said, smaller festivals often don’t have as much budget for children’s activities, so your choice will also depend a little on the level of laid-on entertainment that your family need.

The Cornbury Music Festival 2011 Review

After a wonderful weekend of fun, music and frivolities with my two lovely festival kids, it’s taken me a few days to regain normality to our routine, hardly surprising when The Cornbury Festival was so entertaining!! Only a half hour’s drive from our home town, in a beautiful countryside setting, who could resist a weekend away with so much to offer? Alpro Soya asked me to come along as their guest to The Cornbury Festival on behalf of Festival Kidz and see how us festival goers really enjoyed ourselves, sampling their free tasty goodies all weekend at the Alpro Breakfest Stand too!!
