This event is hosted by Magical Times. It is advertised as the ultimate mystical weekend and it promises to be something rather special. It is a hidden gem of a festival for faerie folk in the picturesque village of Alfriston in the idyllic Cuckmere Valley. Expect a celebration of all things enchanting.

Highlights for Families

Throughout the weekend, there will be drumming, belly dancing and music galore offered in the woodland themed music tent. Confirmed acts for 2016 include Roving Crows, Flutatious, Solana, PerKelt, Damh The Bard, Cyoakha Grace (from USA), Matthew Callow, DevonBird, Willows Drum, Kate & Corwen, Livia, Lyz Le Fay, Morrigans Path, Touch The Earth, Pixiephonic, Pentacle Drummers, India Blue + more tbc! . Workshops include The Healing Drum; morning yoga; maypole dancing; playing Viking instruments; foraging for herbs to make medicines; ; making a bull roarer; airbrush art; and a circus skills workshop by Circus Seen, while Poi Passion will be providing entertainment to close the day on Saturday with their fabulous fire display.

FREE entertainment for children at Faerie Festival 2016 includes learning circus skills, faerie film screenings, storytelling and craft workshops in the children’s tent. Younger children will enjoy the faerie and pirate themed activities, such as treasure hunts, dancing and potions class.
