2023 Stowaway family festival review

Set in picture-perfect, rolling countryside with ancient woodland and lakes, Stowaway is a little hidden gem in the independent festival scene. Dance the night away under the stars with internationally renowned musicians and DJs. Feast on award-winning street food. Chance upon a hidden party in the woods. Blow away the night’s cobwebs with a refreshing dip in the lake while the kids paddle past in a canoe.

Made by friends, for friends; Stowaway is a new secret world for you to discover. All children’s activities are included in the ticket price at Stowaway so no hidden expenses and you can really relax. This includes the funfair rides, workshops, classes & tree climbing!

Impressive music headliners from an eclectic, uplifting musical mix across multiple stages have graced the first Stowaway festivals setting high standards for the line-up. While the Comedy Stage welcomed stars like Russell Kane and Jake Dee and the Meadow Theatre stage hosted live theatre, comedy, dance, poetry, spoken word and storytelling. The late night offerings take place at the ‘Shake Off’ and ‘Go West’ stages in The Woods and ‘The Jetty’ stage by the lake.
Amazing Street Food from onsite vendors plus bottomless brunches hosted by Bristol’s finest, Seven Lucky Gods set the food standards just as high as the performance line-up.

For wellness and relaxation there is a wild swimming and paddle-boarding on the idyllic on-site lake, wood-fired hot tubs, Woodland Yoga and Disco Yoga.
Half party, half boutique, The Provibers’ Parlour offered an immersive shopping extravaganza with a treasure trove of treats from independent traders, while Stowaway’s Kids Kingdom hosted free activities to fire your kid’s imagination, including Tree Climbing, Bushcraft & Circus Workshops, plus a Roller Disco and a Vintage Funfair.
All this plus many more hidden delights to discover.
