Small Nations 2011 Review

2011 Small Nations Weather: Mixed, the weather had been lovely the week before, turned a bit wet during the weekend, but no real problems.

Review by: Anon (with 4 kids, aged 8, 10, 11 and 12)

Getting to the festival and setting up camp:

No problems ! We joined others who had set up camp during the week as staff, parked right at the front of the parking field, wheel barrowed all our stuff in and found the family field really easily.

Entertainment – Line up and Kids Activities:

Kids activities were in the main field so we didn’t miss anything, genius!  Loads to do from workshops, circus skills, face painting, films, music. Great selection of food so no one was hungry.  Late night music and campfire was OK, it kept the teenagers away from the family field and we slept late!

What would you change / improve (if anything)?

More comedy/story tellers and writers to meet would be great for the less musical, more chances to join in a class with some of the world musicians would be great!  If any of the organisers could fix the weather then great!

Any other comments and your Top Tip:

Top Tip: Take marshmellows for the fire!

Site and Facilities:

Toilets were nice and clean, showers were lovely and hot all weekend. There was plenty of space and the kids enjoyed being able to run around the campsite without tripping up.  No mobile coverage at all but a free bus to town made up for that. Lovely staff who helped all weekend and a great family chill out space for early morning stories and colouring in!

Did you feel safe?

We felt very safe, there was lots of friendly security and the stewards knew what they were doing. No problems with camping or car parks at all.

Would you go again?

Definately!!

10/10
