Camp Bestival
Camp Bestival 2019 Review
This year I took my son to our eighth Camp Bestival. It’s testament to just how much we love the festival that we’ve not missed a single one since we first went back in 2012.
An absolutely incredible amount is on offer for families. Everyone who goes to Camp Bestival has a unique festival experience. No matter how much you jam pack into your days, you’ll only experience a small sample of all the treats on offer because there is just so much!

People are always asking us which festival is the best!
There’s no easy answer to this as everyone has their own favourites.
Festivals have such a broad reach these days. There really is something for everyone. Do you want luxury or basic facilities, indie or world music, laid-back or party central?
So before you dive in and buy tickets…
Camp Bestival 2018 Review
Ahoy there! Climb aboard the HMS Bestival, to be sure to escape the gales and downpour! Having lucked out for many years with Camp Bestival falling on one of the hottest weekends every summer, we appear to have hit a bit of a blip. 2017 saw the first Camp Bestival mudfest. This year, after three funfilled days, the weather rapidly deteriorated and the dangerous winds caused the organisers to make the devastating decision to not open the arenas on the Sunday. We still had a fantastic three days though! Read more…

Looking Forward to Camp Bestival 2018
Camp Bestival is a firm favourite here at Festival Kidz and we are very excited about the 2018 edition. Much of the line up has already been announced, and it’s looking fantastic.
This Year’s Camp Bestival Theme
2018 has a nautical theme – think pirates, mermaids, jellyfish, sharks and crocodiles. There will be a whole host of seafaring themed entertainment to look forward to this year.
Six reasons to be excited about 2018
A Glastonbury Festival fallow year is always a strange one for the people that go every year. I used to be one of them – and even now I still get a pang every year when it’s on – so I understand that you might have a festival-shaped hole to fill.
Still let’s hope that the 2018 hole isn’t just full of mud! Although even if it is, it won’t stop us from having fun.
The great thing is that now there are so many other festivals to go to (we have over 150 on our site, with more added every year) that you could use this year to explore something completely new. And if you find an amazing one, please do share it with us on our Facebook page, or email us on chat@festivalkidz.com!
Camp Bestival 2017 Review
We last visited Camp Bestival 5 years ago when the kids were really small, so were keen to go back and see how it had developed. Having a 7 and 11 year old it seemed the perfect safe festival to give them some freedom and for us to relax.
Accessibility at Festivals
Most festivals do what they can to be accessible to as many as possible. After all, they want to be popular, and to exclude people from attending would obviously result in less ticket sales!
