Cornbury 2016

Unashamedly posh, Cornbury is definitely the nice side of festivals and offers a lovely, safe environment for children. The kids’ area is always fantastic and offers a huge range of activities for children. Theatre shows, craft activities, kids’ discos, imaginative storytelling, drumming and yoga, to name just a few.

There is always a big emphasis on music and Cornbury is no stranger to big names. It’s hosted the likes of Brian Ferry, Tom Jones and Elvis Costello in recent years.

This year festival promoter Hugh Phillimore has pulled it out of the bag with someone he has had his eye on for years – the mighty Bryan Adams. Headlining on the Saturday night, Adams will be joined over the course of the weekend by Kaiser Chiefs, The Pretenders, Jools Holland, Tom Chaplin, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Jack Savoretti, Scouting For Girls, Midge Ure and Right Said Fred. There will also be plenty of country and folk newcomers such as Ward Thomas and The Pierce Brothers.

Known also for being the friendliest festival in the UK, not only is it great for kids, but it’s one for the whole family. There’s something for everyone of all ages to enjoy in a safe enviornment, with a really relaxed and happy atmosphere all round!
