Our first cruise!

This is a cruise with a difference – with performances by top 80s stars and an 80s night with DJ Sara Cox – and tons of child friendly activities on board, this ticks loads of boxes for us. As well as a fun music festival we will get a chance to travel and visit cities in Spain and Portugal!

With prices not much more than some of the UK festival weekend glamping offers, this is excellent value for a week of full board and activities.

Time to get out your old bat-wing jumpers, leg warmers and Frankie Says t shirts!

Music

The line up sounds like so much fun. Obviously you need to be into 80s music! Tony Hadley from Spandau Ballet, Kim Wilde, Belinda Carlisle, ABC, Go West, supported by a host of 80s cover bands, will be guaranteed to get us in a party mood. There are also theme nights and dress up nights for those that really want to get into it.

Kids Clubs

There are kids clubs for all the age groups, with educational and social activities. Drop them in if you want a bit of time to yourself, or don’t, it’s up to you! There are extra charges for children under 3 years, and all years after 10pm, but for 3-17 the kids’ clubs are included every day for the whole cruise.

Cabins

Cabins start at £649 per person for an interior room, which we think is a bargain. However, if you have the cash to splash you can go up to £1,999 per person for a suite! See a full list of prices on the website. Don’t forget that KIDS GO FREE!

OnBoard Activities

As well as a pool, there is an ice skating rink, a climbing wall, mini golf and even a 40-foot-long surf simulator! There’s also teen-only spaces for your teenagers to hang out until late, with a teen only nightclub.

Ports of Call

There are three stops – Bilbao and Vigo in Spain and then Lisbon in Portugal. There you can either disembark and explore yourself, or sign up to additional tours.

The Guggenheim Museum is the biggest attraction in Bilbao and appeals to both adults and children. The internationally-acclaimed design of the building, by Frank Gehry, combines shimmering titanium curves, glass and limestone to create a spectacular, futuristic sculptural effect. Bilbao also has some lovely beaches.

Vigo has amazing beaches and a beautiful coastline. You can drive along the scenic costal to La Toja, a city where you’ll experience true Galician culture – rich in historical significance and home to a church that is completely covered in seashells.

Lisbon is a wonderful city to explore. Visit the monastery and the Maritime Museum, which houses miniature boats and original maps chronicling the history of navigation from the Middle Ages to today. You can also visit Lisbon Zoo, the Oceanarium, the Parque das Nações, or take a ride on the yellow tram. Or relax on one of its beautiful beaches.

So what are you waiting for – why not join us for some sun and and silliness this year?
