LolliBop was a family day out aimed at children up to the age of 12 (day tickets only).
Featuring some of the biggest names in kids entertainment on its live stages, LolliBop also plays host to science and educational zones, craft areas and adventure activities.
Workshops, fun activities, and the chance to catch some great kid’s entertainers too – your little ones are bound to have a ball.
Returning LolliBoppers will see old favorites mixed with new attractions.
The new location of Hatfield House is set in beautiful gardens with fountains, a magical woodland and the famous knot garden adjoining the Tudor Old Palace where Queen Elizabeth I spent much of her childhood.
For a family destination, Hatfield House can’t be beaten. LolliBop has taken place in numerous locations over the years, and we firmly believe this is our best yet. The setting is breathtaking – with stunning gardens, lush green areas and a woodlands just waiting to be explored – it’s allowed us to open our imaginations and plan an event like never before.
We’ve been working hard to secure some of the best-loved names in children’s entertainment. The 2014 lineup will be jam packed with big names for the main stage, alongside an unprecedented number of live theatre; plus sports; creative workshops; nature talks and brand new areas and acts, never before seen at LolliBop.

We were underwhelmed and it felt disorganised. We were with 3yo- far too much queuing, not enough mobile mascots etc.. Good facilities though. We would not go back.
This was not a festival, certainly not a festival that money should be exchanged for for tickets to. Areas of product promotion, where children play on the toys is not an activity, certainly not an activity worth queing half an jour for! The only other activities other than playing with toys that quite frankly we have at home or at our nursery were drawing!!! Oh and a 2 min activity for decorating a cake with sprinkles!
I will never ever return to this “event” and I will make sure that I promote the fact to others that this is an utter rip off!
I went to Lollibop 2013- Queens Elizabeth on 17Aug 2013 with my husband and 8 yr old boy. Honestly, I felt like it was a ripped off. Bought the ticket in advance and paid (discounted) £17/person. But for me, it’s not even worth the discounted price. They should instead label the event suitable for 1-6 year old. There is nothing for the older kids, except the Titan the Robot which only came out for few minutes. Mostly are just stalls who are making money. Shows were boring. Better watch it in TV. I don’t really get why the ticket is so highly price. The location is also a far walk from Stratford tube. My family loves to attend kids events and shows and Lollibop was the worst ever considering the high price. If it was for free or a £1 then maybe it was ok. It was like one of those free events in the park where people raise funds something. The BBC casts being there is the only difference, but still it was that great. Better take kids to watch theater show and go to park. There was no sports or event competitions among kids to encourage them to be active and get out of boredom. It was misleading.
We had a fantastic time last year! My husband, I and 3 year old daughter enjoyed it and didn’t have enough time to get round everything that was going on. I don’t understand people being negative about it at all – even with older children. There was PLENTY for all ages and my daughter was a bit young for a lot of it but enjoyed everything we did. I’m sorry but anyone saying it had nothing to cater for older children did not really look around. Workshops, science, crafts were everywhere not to mention all the shows and demonstrations as you walked around. Will definitely be back this year with a crowd!
I have been to the last 2 Lollibop’s and my whole family had a great time. Really looking forward to this years one. I’m a bit surprised by the negatives comments for last year. There was loads to do for kids of all ages, my niece went along and is 11 she loved it. The main stage, the theatre tent, the random performers, doesn’t sound to me like they really explored the site. The only thing I will say is that the football stuff put on by Tottenham Hotspur was rubbish, and I’m a Spurs fan.
looks fabulous!!!! xxxx
Absolutely! 🙂 x
Haha i think you’re right there 😉 but i think honesty is always the best policy, especially where kids are concerned. Who wants to trail children into London only to be disappointed, its up to them to prove they’ve changed things x
But your point was a valid one – there were some very disgruntled customers last year, and while we let parent’s honest opinions be shared… somehow I don’t think they’d have been promoting those comments on their own website 😉 x
Oh ok, my mistake sorry x
To be fair, that’s comments on our website rather than theirs… but yes, lessons do need to be learnt from last year… but hopefully they have taken all last year’s complaints on board. I’m all for giving people a second chance to make amends and get things right – the concept is great, hour long queues with small children… not so much!
Not good with 2 negative comments on the bottom of their website oops!
I won tickets to go to this, but would have felt seriously ripped off if I’d have paid the £30 per ticket which many people did. I went with my 2 and 4 year old sons and there really wasn’t much for them to do – such a disappointment after travelling all the way into London from Kent. This was no more than a local fete with a stage in the middle. I certainly won’t be going again.
Just been with my 8 year old. This festival claims to be for the under 10s – not true, more like for under 4s. And there’s not a lot going on. Total and utter rip off! Previous years been to the Innocent Village Fete which was much better value for money and quite a lot more things to do. This Lollibop rubbish hardly had any activities and the few they did have eg bumper cars and a slide had almighty queues. However, apart from the slide everything seemed aimed at toddlers. My daughter was really quite upset that there was nothing for her. To me, it just seemed like an area where stalls sold their wares and generally the public were mugs to spend our dosh. I cannot believe just how awful it was and what a rip off it was. If you want a kids festival, just stick to the freebies in your local area, eg, county shows and mayor shows, PlayDay etc or go to the grown up weekenders eg Latitude and Glasto because there’s loads for kids to do as well as music. I hope this organisation go out of business because they really are taking the mick! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
