“My friend was singing in a huge orchestra band and it was my first festival in years after having my kids. I used to love festivals, this was absolutely perfect for me as I came with my 5 year old son, camped with my friends and it wasn’t too far to walk anywhere. The atmosphere and music were great, I especially loved the Transformers, hadn’t danced like that for years!!! Also the flowers in the meadow itself were truly magical, I have very fond memories.”
– Astrid Fisher (after Meadowlands 2011)
Have been to the last 2 Meadowlands and it certainly improved hugely last year from a family point of view. We struggled with rain and cold winds the first year and all the music was in 2 very loud tents so there wasn’t really anywhere to chill until the sun came out on Sunday. Much improved last year with the addition of the glade area, outdoor stage, play area, kids stickiton (ace!), more food options, great casino (my 6 year old became a bit of a roulette diva) and SUNSHINE!
