Held in the grounds of Falkland Estate, an outstanding historical landscape in Fife, the Big Tent is recognised as Scotland’s greenest festival, the Big Tent is a family friendly affair that hosts two stages of music as well as a range of talks, demonstrations and activities that engage festival goers of all ages with the ecological opportunities and challenges that face society today.
There are lots of children friendly activities. You don’t have to pay for your kids to get in to the festival (under 16s go free) and once in, just about everything is free to enjoy (though occasionally you might be asked to make a donation). Children’s activities are dotted around the festival so a great chance for everyone to explore the new site but there’s also a dedicated Children’s area, shaded by a beautiful circle of trees with storytelling, craft making and performances.
