The August bank holiday weekend sees the beautiful Southsea Beach and Castle Field in Portsmouth play host to a family festival which is fast becoming a firm favourite in the UK. Victorious Festival is a fantastic value for money three day event (with off-site camping) for families who love their mainstream acts.
Tickets are sold for individual days. Headline acts are always huge. Previous headliners include The Prodigy, Paul Weller, Paloma Faith and the Stereophonics.
There are at least eight live music stages featuring a range of already massive, and up and coming acts. The Butserfest stage is gaining a reputation for discovering the next big thing, with previous bands including Funeral For A Friend and Mallory Knox.
For Children
The kids arena stage boasts big names from children’s television including CBeebies stars.
There will be countless activities on offer to suit every child’s interest. Previous years have included Kingswood outdoor pursuits, lego building, circus skills, science workshops, dancing, nerf wars, parkour, face painting… the list goes on and on.
There is also Happy’s Circus with an array of jaw dropping circus acts from acrobats to sword balancing. In the evening it transforms into a motown funk and soul dance tent.
What Else?
Also expect standard festival features such as market stalls, real ale, and plenty of bars and food outlets.
