Summer Food Festival in Cornwall

In 2018 this festival was “taking a break” and the website has not been updated since then…

If you are planning a trip to Cornwall in summer, make sure the NEW ‘Summer Food Festival’ is on your family’s wish-list. Where better to enjoy the delights of al fresco, summer food and the British countryside than in the heart of Cornwall?

Cornwall Food & Drink, the county’s champion for Cornwall’s vibrant food and drink industry, is launching the first ‘Summer Food Festival’ in partnership with Duchy College, at the college’s beautiful location amongst the rolling hills at Stoke Climsland, near Callington – and entry for the whole family is completely FREE!

The weekend promises to be a dream for enthusiastic foodies, both holidaymakers and locals alike – with local, fresh delicacies to try and buy, chef demonstrations, thirst quenching drinks and food fun for the children. Those with an artisan food interest can tour the farm or try their hand at brewing and cheese making.

There’ll be lots of other fun activities for everyone as part of Duchy College’s Open Day running alongside the Food Festival, including:

· Abseiling
· Orienteering
· Archery
· Digger driving challenges
· Tractor rides
· Equine displays and meet the animals
· Creative play
· Plant sales
· Butterfly trail competition
· Careers advice at the Duchy College Open Day

See www.cornwallfoodanddrink.co.uk and www.duchy.ac.uk for more details.

Do not confuse this with the American festival of the same name: https://scenetasteofsummer.com/

On a stunning site overlooking a huge lake, not far from Bristol, Valley Fest bills itself as “ The Best-tasting music festival in the south west”. And they definitely deliver on that.
