The makers of Anorak Magazine, the happy mag for kids, are thrilled to announce ‘Anorak’s Summer Fête’ as the conclusive event of the Dalston Children’s Festival in association with Hackney Council.
This FREE family event will deliver some good old village fête fun to urban Dalston, bringing a whole range of jolly and creative activities such as:
Anorak’s Happy Bingo Hall
Giant Egg & Spoon race
Pin the Beard
HopHop-Hopscotch
The Colouring Wall (designed by Anorak’s much loved illustrators Tane Williams, Katey Harvey, Manuel Grinon Montes and Grace Easton)
Meanwhile, the Giant Happy Activity Station will carry workshops such as:
Draw A Scary Monster
Paint a giant Ladybird
Make Me A Giant Totem with little comics genius Orson (9 years old)
Create a Peculiar Paper Pizza recipe
But the fun doesn’t stop there!…
The Poetry Take-away crew will be on hand to provide on demand rhymes while party experts Carousel will be putting on a Teddy Bear’s Picnic at the delightfully peaceful Dalston Eastern Curve Garden. Delicious Mediterranean food will be provided by Route Café while the Hackney Youth Orchestra will be playing to their hearts contents.
Associated illustrators will have stalls with books and prints available to purchase, alongside Owl World badges, Carousel party bags and Anorak books.
