The Downs Bristol is a fab one day event held in the beautiful, central location of Clifton Downs.

Big name musical acts can be expected, as well as a range of provocative talks. Discussion and debate are key to the festival and the Information Stage offers a space where key note speakers address issues affecting UK society. Previous years have featured esteemed spoken word performers including Kate Tempest, Akala and legendary film director Ken Loach.

What’s available for children?

A full range of children’s activities are on offer and have expanded year on year since the festival’s inception.

You can expect a Junior Jungle Rave, Explorer Dome, Karaoke Horsebox, Dance Workshops with Bristol Samba Band, Circus Skills, Dressing Up Box and Book Corner, as well as a variety of arts and crafts and circus skills.

Under 5’s are admitted free but MUST wear appropriate ear protection.

A limited number of reduced price tickets are available to those who are unemployed or on income support.

Accessible facilities include PA tickets, main stage viewing platform, accessible parking, accessible toilets and lowered bar areas.
