I went to a day of this in London last year with toddler and teenage stepdaughter – the stalls and dressing up looked fab, but access around the stairs in the Royal Festival Hall with a buggy was a bit tricky, so a field location will probably be better for parents! We did really enjoy the vintage carousel and the location on the South Bank last year though.
