VW Whitenoise has moved from it’s previous home at Fritton Lake, near Gt Yarmouth Norfolk to the Norfolk Showground, Easton, Norwich. It is set up by a local family with a passion for camping and VWs and is great value for money with discounted family tickets available.
Highlights for Kids and Families
There is a separate family camping area with a 9pm curfew, good and plentiful toilets in permanent onsite blocks and lots of free activities, including craft workshops, rollerskating, bouncy camper van, a children’s zone and a woodland area on site. As the festival takes place on a proper show site there are established routes across the site making it easily accessible for all. The festival has a lost children system and area on site.
What makes VW Whitenoise unique?
An amazing selection of vintage and top notch VWs including 100s of VW campers, along with a great selection of live music, showcasing top tributes and live music from across the Eastern Region. There is limited electrical hook up for the event, an unusual luxury for a festival. As the festival is run by a family with two young children, little ones are well catered for and even get a lollipop on arrival.
Site and Facilities:
The site is easily to get around and typically flat being in Norfolk so it’s perfect for buggies. Mobile phone coverage is good and WiFi should be available onsite by August 2012. Family camping is just a short walk to the main arena. You can book a bell tent in advance that is all set up for you on arrival at an extra cost. Please see the website for details of this.

Forgot to say we have baby changing facilities too 🙂 Can’t wait for Alive and V-Dubbin and only missing Elemental cause I accidentally booked Kelling Heath camp trip the same weekend. Want to raise that us Vdub festivals are all so very bloomin’ great value too and full of the lovliest selection of the human race and Vdubs!
Can’t wait for this, along with Alive & V-Dubbin … East of England showing how its done x 3 🙂
Must get rollerskates, retro of course!
Gutted we are missing this again this year as clashes with Standon Calling Festival…maybe next year! However looking forward to Elemental Show our 1st of the season in 3 wks and Alive & V-Dubbin 2012 in June 😀
