Festival reviews from the year 2017
Bearded Theory Spring Gathering 2017 Review
Arrival
Bearded Theory may well win the award for the most amazingly helpful staff. Steve and his colleagues on the disabled campsite moved bins and toilets around to make room for us when we arrived late on Friday night. He even helped mend our inflatable tent for us when half of it collapsed due to an unfixable puncture, carrying out most of the work on his own while we were off enjoying ourselves. I was overwhelmed by how accommodating and resourceful they all were. Thank you Steve – your halo shines brightly!
Magical Faerie Festival 2017 Review
A perfect little gathering of mystical folk in an idyllic Sussex setting
We’ve just returned from a wonderful time at the Magical Faerie Festival in the beautiful village of Alfriston. The gathering is around 1000 people and held at Pleaseant Rise Farm which was the perfect location for our first festival of the season. Relaxed, peaceful and full of happy people.
Our Writers’ Recommendations 2017
All of our writers are festival veterans with more festivals under their belts than they can count! So which festivals are they excited about this year?
Cornbury’s Fabulous Finale
Cornbury Festival has had a successful 13 year run. It has provided a lovely, rather posh family-friendly event that has converted even the most festival-shy.
However, this year, after much deliberation, the 14th Cornbury Festival will be the last. The good folk at Cornbury are looking forward to going out with a bang.
They’ve promised us they are pulling out ALL the stops for The Fabulous Finale. There will be all the usual great stuff, an array of top talent, friends old and new. There may even be a few sparklers at the end.
