Lakefest 2017 Review
With a new baby in the family we wanted our first festival this year to be fairly small and very easy. Lakefest certainly fitted the bill and, although it lacked some of the little extras that I’ve come to love about family festivals, everyone had a good time. The kids were wowed by BMX riders, the grown ups saw some old favourite bands and the ducks had a great time too.

Lakefest 2016 Review

Having heard all the good reviews of this festival we were really looking forward to this one. It had moved from Croft Farm to Eastnor Castle which gave a great backdrop with the lake at the festival edge. Upon arriving I bought the organiser Lee Martin’s book ‘Hippie’ which is well worth a read, it’s just a bit of a shame more of his values aren’t portrayed in the festival. We all had a great time but it was more of a nice weekend at a festival rather than a particularly ‘festival’ experience.
Are festivals good for dogs?
With record high temperatures at festivals predicted this summer many of us will struggle with kids out in the sun. Essential festival kit for little ones included hats, water bottles, practical clothing and oodles of sunscreen. But did anyone think about what to pack for man’s best friend?

Lovely family festival Lakefest charmed us once again with its perfect combination of size, music and family friendly fun, all set around a gorgeous lake complete with water sports.
This was our second Lakefest, the fifth to take place overall and in fact the final one to occur at its current Croft Farm location, with a move to Eastnor Castle planned for next year. But more on that later.

Lakefest 2014 Review
Lakefest is a true family festival held in the grounds of Croft Farm Waterpark near Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire.
The music takes place over the three days of Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but for a small extra charge you can buy a ticket that also allows you to camp on the Thursday night.
We opted to travel up on Friday afternoon and after a short journey from Bristol (there’s something to be said for local festivals!) and just a five minute queue to get into the car park, we were good to go.
