Friday evening will be for setting up your tent, and hanging out with friends new and old. Perhaps even an impromptu acoustic session will arise.
You are welcome to arrive from 5pm on Friday to set up your tent.

Saturday is the main day of the event. A fun filled, family friendly day, with ceremony & celebration, drumming, morris dancing, bouncy castles and slides, sand pit, fancy dress, combat displays, the Pentacle Drummers Stone-age games, belly dancers and much much more.
For the evening, you move indoors this year so that you can go on for longer.

Again, they will bring you great dancing, fun and friends and to start with they are very happy to announce their headline act –

Wojtek Godzisz – One of the finest live bands you will ever see.

More bands will be announced.

Sunday is recovery day. Wake up late, hear the chatter from all the other campers, share stories from the day before, and get ready to travel home.

Penatcle Drummers work very hard to ensure the best value from their events, and they do not seek sponsorship, they want it to be your event and free of corporate branding.
They are pleased to let you know that prices are the same as last year.

This event is hosted by Magical Times. It is advertised as the ultimate mystical weekend and it promises to be something rather special. It is a hidden gem of a festival for faerie folk in the picturesque village of Alfriston in the idyllic Cuckmere Valley. Expect a celebration of all things enchanting.

Throughout the weekend, there will be drumming, belly dancing and music galore offered in the woodland themed music tent. Confirmed acts for 2016 include Roving Crows, Flutatious, Solana, PerKelt, Damh The Bard, Cyoakha Grace (from USA), Matthew Callow, DevonBird, Willows Drum, Kate & Corwen, Livia, Lyz Le Fay, Morrigans Path, Touch The Earth, Pixiephonic, Pentacle Drummers, India Blue + more tbc! . Workshops include The Healing Drum; morning yoga; maypole dancing; playing Viking instruments; foraging for herbs to make medicines; ; making a bull roarer; airbrush art; and a circus skills workshop by Circus Seen, while Poi Passion will be providing entertainment to close the day on Saturday with their fabulous fire display.

FREE entertainment for children at Faerie Festival 2016 includes learning circus skills, faerie film screenings, storytelling and craft workshops in the children’s tent. Younger children will enjoy the faerie and pirate themed activities, such as treasure hunts, dancing and potions class.

England’s Medieval Festival 2016 Review

As a family, we love castles, we love festivals and we love a bit of living history. Therefore, England’s Medieval Festival was a fantastic choice for us.

Magical Faerie Festival 2016 Review

Magical Faerie Festival is a lovely little festival. It is with mixed feelings that I observe how it has grown, even since last year, and yet I’m so pleased for the organisers.

It’s great to be able to share the experience with more likeminded, wonderfully individual, folk. The only sadness I have with the secret being out, is that I don’t know how many more years it will fit in the beautiful location so close to where I live! Read more…

Magical Faerie Festival 2015

This was such a lovely way for us to start the season. Magical Faerie Festival is such a short distance from my home in the beautiful Sussex Downs.

If you haven’t been to the Cuckmere valley, then it is worth a visit for the area’s year round appeal. But it is an even better idea to combine it with this festival. Read more…
