Chagstock Festival

21st - 22nd July 2017

Location: Whiddon Down, Devon

Size: 5000

Here’s our 2015 review.

Its location is in the heart of rural Dartmoor, spectacular views yet only three minutes from the A30! Chagstock was born in 2003, by some like minded people who through a massive party in a garden. Just over a decade on, it has transformed into a sell out 5000 capacity festival spread over 70 acres on Whiddon Down, always with a choice line up that attracts a great crowd.

Chagstock is a not for profit organisation supporting the
Devon Air Ambulance Trust and Water Aid.

Site and Facilities:

Quiet camping areas.  Free drinking water available on the campsite.
Main camping field is directly adjacent to the main arena so no long treks back to the tent.
Mobile phone coverage for major networks.

This year Chagstock have teamed up with Sandford Orchard cider makers, which can only go well!

2017 headliners are Soul II Soul and the Shires. Other acts include Dub Pistols, Raghu Dexit, Skinny Lister and Dr Feelgood. The music alternates between the two stages, so you don’t have to choose between any of the acts. The second stage (marquee) headlining act is Slamboree, most probably the world’s first Pyro Circus Rave Massive act.

Chagstock Village Green is the children’s play area in the main arena including swing boats & little train, inflatables, The Magic Bus, showman wagons, games for everyone, the Challenge ladder, reverse steer bike & “hang on” along with lots of caterers and traders. Chagstock introduce new acts to this area every year, inviting back the popular choices. There are always plenty of hands on workshops with many varied opportunities for children to make, do and play and learn. Check the website for the full line up for this year.
