WOMAD stands for World of Music and Dance and it does exactly what it says on the tin, with an enormous amount of other creative arts thrown in for good measure. You will hear the very best of World Music, dance to all sorts of global and tribal beats and experience an absolute feast of culture across a playground of colour and celebration.

WOMAD continues to enhance its reputation as the UK’s premier family festival with a wonderful programme of activities and experiences that can be enjoyed by young and old alike.
World of Children
WOMAD’s World of Children is jam-packed with creativity from morning until early evening for all ages.
This dedicated kids zone is bursting with things to see and do from participating in music and dance workshops to painting your own t-shirt and even kids cooking workshops on the Taste the World stage. WOMAD is big on workshops so you are bound to find lots of interactive activities from around the world for you to enjoy together.
Camping
There is a family camping area. There is also a special Park and Camp ticket for those that want to be able to park within 10 metres of your tent – great for families who want to bring everything including the kitchen sink! Park and Camp spots are limited though so you do need to book them well in advance. There are also some rather lovely Glamping and Boutique Camping options.
Don’t forget to go and pamper yourself in the world-class on-site spa too – sheer bliss 🙂
Line up
WOMAD‘s lineup always contains the hottest acts from the World Music scene, some of whom are household names… others you will never have heard of! The discovery of inspiring new musicians from around the world is one of the most wonderful things about WOMAD.
