Barefoot Festival

26th - 28th July 2024

Location: Prestwold Hall, Prestwold Lane, Prestwold, Loughborough, Leicestershire. LE12 5SH

Website: www.barefootfestival.com

The Barefoot Festival aims to take us back to our roots for the weekend.  The organisers hope that we find the space to reconnect with ourselves,  sit around the camp fire with the sounds of live drumming in our ears, take a moment out from the stresses and strains of our busy lives and yes – dance barefoot in the sunshine!  You won’t find hair straightening booths at the festival or a corporate sponsor in sight.

Highlights for families:

Great entertainment is on offer with professional teachers, amazing performers and fantastic tents and marquees that work with the great British weather!

Children are made very welcome at Barefoot Festival and are able to join in the whole range of workshops as well as the workshops and activities specifically aimed at littler ones.

Site and Facilities:

Facilities are simple, and thus ticket prices are kept low and the experience wild!  If camping in the great outdoors isn’t your cup of tea, there is also alternative accommodation options, such as pre-erected tipis, details can be found on the festival website.

Prestwold Hall in Leicestershire is a splendid venue, set in the grounds of a beautiful stately home and gorgeous rolling countryside.

Camping and parking is within easy walking distance.  There is Disabled parking (if you need assistance of this nature please do let one of the volunteers know and do their best to make sure your needs are met).

Please note: the following Barefoot Festival video promo does contain scenes of a mildly adult nature, the Burlesque and ‘angle grinder’ performances in particular.  Do bear in mind that these performances are generally scheduled later on, and have an over-18’s policy.
