Timber Festival

3rd - 5th July 2020

Location: Feanedock, The National Forest, DE12 6DQ

Website: www.timberfestival.org.uk/

Timber Festival is an exciting event, brought to us by The National Forest Company and Wild Rumpus (the fabulous people who are responsible for Festival Kidz favourite Just So). Festival kidz had an amazing time at the festival in 2018. See our review here :/https://www.festivalkidz.com/reviews/timber-festival-2018-review/

Taking place in the beautiful National Forest, a 70 acre woodland site on the Leicestershire / Derbyshire border, Timber explores our relationship with the forest. In fact, the whole festival experience is intrinsically wrapped up in its environment.

Did you know that Timber actively encourage people to cycle to the festival from a range of nearby cities? They will even give you and your kit a lift home at the end of the weekend.

What is available for families?

Expect the very best in family entertainment to include interactive performances, art installations and light projections. Plus, fantastic crafts, music, campfire stories, a coppice maze and so, so much more, all seemlessly linked to the forest itself.

For the tiniest festival-goers there is a sling library, a nappy-changing tent with free biodegradeable nappies and wipes and a baby-feeding tent.

Accessibility

Personal assistant tickets, accessible parking, accessible camping spots and medication storage are all available. The team welcome information regarding specific needs and can be flexible with their provision.

They say, “It’s your experience, and we want you to have the best one possible.”
