Firefly Festival 2012 Review

Firefly Festival 2012 – a new festival is born!

Review by Sarah Dodd from Love Music News (with an 8 year old)

Setting up and Arriving: No queues, very polite and helpful staff, very well organised. We had approx a 5min walk with stuff. Huge camping field with plenty of toilets and loo roll! The other campers were lovely, friendly, helpful and polite. Felt comfortable leaving tents unattended etc.

Entertainment:  Line up was fantastic and there were craft tents etc for children as well as plenty of room to run around!

What improvements would I make?  Would of loved it if it would’ve lasted a week!!!!!

Site and Facilities: There were lots of toilets, and full to the max with loo roll/soap etc. They even had running water! Site was very easy to navigate, mobile phone signal was “ok”. But the site was so contained you couldn’t really lose anyone.

Security / Safety: Fabulous! No intimidation, friendly/approachable security and children were well looked after in the crowds.

Our most memorable moment: The Colour Movement – Early evening, the sun was shining, everyone had arrived and then this incredible band arrived and woke us all up!

Would you go again? Without a doubt!

10/10

Firefly Festival 2012 had a mix of weather: Glorious sunshine between 2&7.  Overcast between 7&8.  Heavy Rain between 8&10!
