Apart from it being a FREE event, there’s a strong focus on families with a fenced off kid’s area featuring a make and do tent, excellent children’s performers, bouncy castles, baby changing area, under-fives area, kids only toilets and family cafe.
What makes Strawberry Fair unique?
Strawberry Fair is one of the last FREE Festivals. This means FREE entry and all the entertainment and kid’s activities are all totally FREE! There’s a ban on sponsorship, so no adverts from multinationals. There are over 250 stalls selling food and goods from all over the world. Two main stages, two bars, cabaret, film festival, green area, acoustic tent, village green, kid’s area and a parade!
The fair is run by hardworking volunteers, is fiercely independent, and is self-sufficient by selling stall space to cover costs. All the infrastructure is sourced from within 50 miles – which means that they are 100% sustainable and still FREEEEEEE!
The site and facilities:
Just a short walk from the beautiful city centre, next to the River Cam. The site is level-ish but it is a meadow and some parts have longer grass than others.
It is a one day event so strictly no camping and there is no parking on site but plenty in the town. The site is well served by Park and Ride and the bus station is only a few minutes away. Mobile phone coverage is good.
Located in the heart of picturesque Cookham Village in Berkshire, Let’s Rock The Moor! has a reputation for providing a great day out for the whole family.
