Land of Kids is a new one-day children’s festival in East London, it brings with it a cargo of curiosities for all the family.
Like a world beyond the wardrobe, Land of Kids settles into a hidden corner, away from Kingsland’s heaving main strip, with a day-long programme of entertainment. Part-indoor, part-outdoor, Land of Kids will connect some of the area’s most-loved arts venues and undiscovered spaces, to present everything from surreal crafts to cockney-Royals, puppeteers to poets, home-made grub to home-grown pirates, film to face-painting, family disco, speed birthday-parties, immersive theatre, live music and bedtime stories.
Once inside, everything* is free of charge – balloons, face painting, goody bags, workshops, nail-art, music and games (*except food & drink)
The SOMETHING Event

This daytime community fundraiser event, hosted by Unitygroove, will have Bands, Stalls, Workshops, DJs, Kids play areas, Food & drinks, Skate ramp, Chill out spaces, Art & photography, Healing, Discussions, Performance, Films and shows all housed at the lovely indoor and outdoor space at Cody Dock.
Kids’ activities include:
THE ALBION KIDS SHOW – The Pirate Ship (A massive kids climbing area)
SKATEJAM- A skate ramp for kids and adults (mini ramp)
COMMUNITY HIP HOP EXPERIENCE – Featuring workshops in Street Dance with Chiara, MCing with MC Wild Eye, DJing with Steaz, Graffiti workshop.
Face painting & Glitter face painting.
LONDON HOOP FEST – (Hula hoop workshops for all ages & a fitness session)
MYSTICAL PARTIES – Come and make magic potions and herbal charm bags, using herbs and flower remedies.

Whizz Bang Pop
Whizz Bang Pop is a NEW one day festival in Sussex aimed at families with children aged 10 and under.
A fun fancy dress day out with over 30 performers including Fireman Sam, Sid Sloane & Little Charley Bear.

The Little Welly is an outdoor event for children, to get them active and taking on new challenges.
At the heart of the event is a 3km obstacle course with over 30 big obstacles – involving water, foam and of course MUD!
There’s also live music and entertainment, circus workshops and plenty of food and drink stalls.

Aldeburgh food and drink festival is a celebration of Norfolk and Suffolk food producers and was started in 2006 to help publicise the abundance of local produce and help people to reconnect with the countryside and where their food comes from.
Fairyland Trust The Real Halloween
What’s on for families?
The Fairyland Trust have just released tickets to their Autumn event The Real Halloween. This truely magical event celebrates Autumn in all it’s beauty and Halloween, without the plastic and the horror and will enchant rather than scare. As with all Fairyland Trust events, there is a strong emphasis on nature and respect for it and the workshops are centered around educating children about the environment. Children can make a Magic Wand, a Witches Pet (a bat) a Magic Potion, Wizard’s Shield and new for this year a Witches Messenger (owl). The Wildlife Hospital, where children can tend to cuddly creatures under the guidance of the magical vets is also back and is a bookable session.
