Four days of music, spoken word, cabaret, crafts, campaigns, campfires, low impact living, love and green life… a festival community powered by sun, wind, people and passion… a festival beyond hedonism where you can party then wake up the next morning with new mates and a mission to change the world!
After a 3 year hiatus due to the pandemic the award winning Green Gathering returns to South Wales 4th – 7th August. Having previously picked up our Gold Award and been nominated as one of our Best Family Festivals 2022 picks, it’s safe to say that Festival Kidz Adam and family are excited to visit one of our top festivals.
We caught up with Em Weirdigan, Festival Director, to find out what 2022 has up its sleeve:

What Else for 2022?
A unique and welcoming area especially for teenagers to hang out in, near the Village Green and Permaculture Woods.
This space is being reinvented for 2022!
Wye Circus will be running skillshares, workshops, games, chill time and discussion opportunities from their circus tent and cosy yurt.
There’ll be music, trapeze, crafts… also space and time to just chat, read, hang out. Everything in the Teens Space is free to join in, so do go and say hello. The space will be open from around 11am to 11pm, though it might be tweaked depending on feedback from the teens on site!
CHILD-FRIENDLY ACTIVITIES ACROSS SITE…
In the Craft Area kids can get creative with practical and artistic activities – look out for free workshops in the Craft Office and Classroom.
The Permaculture Community provides an under-8s play space (children to be supervised), and a quiet area for breastfeeders.
In the Campaigns Field there’s a Radical Family Space with a full programme of activities, a library of radical children’s stories, and puppets to play with. Travellerspace provides soft play for small children and Radical Wales encourages young people to get creative.
Early evening in the Raconteurs’ Delight venue there’s family entertainment – clowns, storytellers, jugglers, singalong acts and more.
