Folk By The Oak – Voted Best Day Festival 2017
Last year YOU, the Festival Kidz readers, voted Folk by the Oak the Best Day Festival and so to celebrate they are giving you not one, not two, but three chances to win a family ticket to experience it for yourself in 2018!
Folk by the Oak, Hatfield House, Herts, returns on Sunday 15 July 2018 and Festival Kidz are excited already.
If there was such a thing as Folk royalty then Eliza Carthy would definitely be the Princess. It says something then about the strength of this years line up, that she isn’t even the headliner. Amy McDonald, Billy Bragg and many more artists will be entertaining the winners in addition to workshops on Felt Art, Knitting and Weaving. For the kids there is a dedicated space featuring everything from Slacklining to Making Fairy Doors.

One of the reasons Festival Kidz loved Folk by the Oak Festival so much was its giant picnic atmosphere. They positively encourage people to bring their own food and even offer a gazebo area for you to pop up your shelter and enjoy it in the shade.
