LTF18 Family Line Up
Family Line up – Larmer Tree 2018

After taking a year-long break, Larmer Tree Festival kicks off on 19th July with a wonderful packed programme to delight festival families.

HIGHLIGHTS FOR KIDS AND FAMILIES

The fun-fuelled family activity schedule for 2018 features famous faces, family games, storytelling and plenty of crafts.  There’s also a fantastic line up of musicians, DJs, comedians and theatre to look forward to.

What better way to start the summer holidays?

Gem (Gemma Hunt) from hit Cbeebies show Swashbuckle, will be heading down to Larmer Tree Gardens with games, activities and performances that children will love. Fellow CBeebies presenter, author and advocate for people with disabilities, Cerrie Burnell, will also be making an appearance to delight her fans.

For the younger members of the audience, the line up includes magician Dan the Hat, MakeShift Ensemble, Wannabe Street, The 7 O’Clock Adventure, Rock ‘n’ Roll Riot, Dreamcatcher Tents, Blooming Tree and Woodland Wonderland. There’s also the exciting chance to learn fire making (and marshmallow toasting) skills, plus loads more pop up theatre and fun.

Older children are not overlooked either.  There are opportunities to meet artist Talia Randall in her Poetry Workshop, try Slacklining with Ru_Slack, and see hilarious theatre by Living Spit.  They can also get involved in workshops including Argentine Tango, Writing in the Woods, making beautiful Boho Banners and a whole array of other free activities including Spin-a-mation and Wonderous Wings.

MUSIC AND OTHER LARMER PLEASURES

Joining headliners First Aid KitJake Bugg, Flamingods and Public Service Broadcasting are Tune-Yards, highly acclaimed Songhoy Blues, and Indie-pop stars Arcade Hearts (band winners of Larmer Tree’s Breakthrough Music Awards).  Laura Goldthorp, winner of the solo artist competition, will also be taking to the stage, bringing her unique blend of acoustic, jazz-tinged melodies. Yazmin Lacey, one of the most soulful breakthroughs of this year, will be gracing the Larmer Tree stage too.

The Village Inn stage is proud to host a selection of artists including Cash Converted, Noah’s House Band and Guns of Navarone. DJ-wise, expect performances from The Alleries, Max and DJs from We Like to Party, who will be wrapping up the end of Festival party. There’s also the chance to boogie your socks off at the Discotheque.

There are big comedy names to be found too, with the likes of Sara Pascoe and Mark Watson headlining a great lineup of emerging comedic talent.

Also new to 2018, is the exciting addition of the Larmer Spa.  Festival-goers will be able to unwind through the day and evening with indulgent hot tubs, a sauna yurt, and a Bedouin chill out lounge nestled deep in the woods. Bookings via Kernow Springs.

Larmer Tree Festival offers a truly unique and immersive experience with an incredible curation of music, comedy, performance art and activities. Creativity lies around every corner.
