Folk by the Oak 2022 Review

Folk by the Oak 2022 couldn’t have come at a better moment.

It was our first little toe dip back into festivals after a long pandemic break. We were eased in with soothing songs and a laid back vibe.

Just as well, with the weather building to its record breaking crescendo a chilled out festival was just what we needed. We even got to go home to our own beds afterwards.

Folk By The Oak 2019 Review

I was very excited to return to Folk by the Oak, as recommended by Festival Kidz this year.

We prepared our picnic, put our frankfurters in a flask with hot water (try it – makes brilliant hot dogs), and headed to Hatfield House.

Folk by the Oak 2017 Review

“Mummy, can we come back here again?” asked my six-year-old as we made our way towards the car park. The end of ‘What a Beautiful Day’ was playing out from the Levellers’ encore on the main stage. To the left of the stage fireworks fizzed and cracked in the night sky.

“Would you like to?” I asked him.

“Oh, yes, I really do. I don’t want to leave.”
