The good bits, the bad bits; all the fun and frolics of a festival brought to you by Festival Kidz reviews… and don’t forget the mud!
Deer Shed 2015 Review
Caitlin Moran once did a hilarious sketch about returning home from a festival and trying to explain to the other people in the office what it had been like. It made me giggle for ages. It’s actually hard to put into words what a great time we had at Deer Shed festival. We’ve returned home tired but happy, with lots of wonderful memories that keep rising to the surface like bubbles.
Wilderness 2015 Review
I might run out of superlatives for Wilderness Festival, so let’s start with this one: Gorgeous. From the campsite dotted with shady mature oaks to the grassy slopes around the wild swimming lake, Wilderness is a very special place.
Wood Festival 2015 Review
Small, safe and very friendly – Wood is a wonderful place for families
Wood is a charming little festival, set on a beautiful campsite. It’s a safe place for children to explore, try their hands at new skills, and climb in the trees.
Chagstock 2015 Review
This is a lovely little festival in a great location with gorgeous views of the surrounding Dartmoor countryside. It’s a small festival with a great deal of local influence and the organisers have clearly realised that they can get the crowd that they want by booking The Levellers and New Model Army – seasoned festival goers with a chilled out, friendly attitude. Jimmy’s Farm Sausage and Beer Festival 2015 Review
With Evelyn aged (very nearly) six and Martha aged two and a half
There seemed to be a lot of excitement about Jimmy’s Farm Sausage and Beer Festival this year. Talking about it beforehand I found many people who had been before and loved it. So we were really looking forward to the weekend. Now it’s over I have mixed feelings. Read more…
Truck Festival 2015 Review
Once again, Hill Farm in South Oxfordshire opened up its gates on the 15th and 16th July 2015, for the biggest Truck Festival to date. With a sensational line up and a whole host of kid’s activities, the weekend looked a dead cert for one to remember. Read more…
Larmer Tree 2015 Review
With Hazel Kaye (5), Gwilym Kaye (3), Caroline Gilbert and Tim Kaye.

25th Anniversary Party!
It would be fair to say that the Larmer Tree Festival is defiantly one to take the whole family, and yes that does include the grandparents, it was lovely to see so many there!
Having been a couple of times before, but only for the day, we were all looking forward to getting the full Larmer Tree experience. And with it being the 25th anniversary everyone was up for a good party. Read more…
Cornbury 2015 Review
I didn’t really know what to expect from Cornbury 2015 – having read words like ‘genteel’ and ‘civilised’ thrown at it, and being well aware of its location near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire, home of the ‘Chipping Norton set’ I feared we commoners may be a little out of place.
Blissfields 2015 Review
A warm welcome from our blissful Blissfields family
Something amazing happened to our family at Blissfields festival this year. It was so amazing that it reminded me why I am so enthusiastic about taking my children to festivals. But just to keep you all in suspense I’ll get back to that later. Read more…
Elderflower Fields 2015 Review
We all enjoyed Elderflower Fields 2015. The Sussex location was idyllic, far-reaching views, mature trees, beautiful woods with ponds and bluebells; we couldn’t spot any elderflower though, maybe it was a bit early?
