Once again, Hill Farm in South Oxfordshire opened up its gates on the 15th and 16th July 2015, for the biggest Truck Festival to date. With a sensational line up and a whole host of kid’s activities, the weekend looked a dead cert for one to remember. Read more…

25th Anniversary Party!

It would be fair to say that the Larmer Tree Festival is defiantly one to take the whole family, and yes that does include the grandparents, it was lovely to see so many there!

Having been a couple of times before, but only for the day, we were all looking forward to getting the full Larmer Tree experience. And with it being the 25th anniversary everyone was up for a good party. Read more…

Cornbury 2015 Review

I didn’t really know what to expect from Cornbury 2015 – having read words like ‘genteel’ and ‘civilised’ thrown at it, and being well aware of its location near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire, home of the ‘Chipping Norton set’ I feared we commoners may be a little out of place.

Blissfields 2015 Review

A warm welcome from our blissful Blissfields family

P1010482

Something amazing happened to our family at Blissfields festival this year. It was so amazing that it reminded me why I am so enthusiastic about taking my children to festivals. But just to keep you all in suspense I’ll get back to that later. Read more…

Elderflower Fields 2015 Review

Elderflower Fields 2015We all enjoyed Elderflower Fields 2015. The Sussex location was idyllic, far-reaching views, mature trees, beautiful woods with ponds and bluebells; we couldn’t spot any elderflower though, maybe it was a bit early?

Funk the Family 2015 Review

Funk the Family is now in it’s second year but this was our first visit. It’s a 1 day festival held in Hove Park in glorious Brighton and Hove.

It has a capacity of 3000 and sold out early. Probably because the organisers Funk the Format (a popular radio show on Radio Reverb 97.2fm) great reputation and a successful first year. My kids and I were looking forward to hanging out in the sunshine and finding out what it had to offer. And yes, we got lucky with the weather!

Wychwood 2015 Review

This year we kicked off our festival season with a trip to Wychwood in Cheltenham. It’s been on my festival wish list for a while now and I’m pleased to report that it didn’t disappoint. Despite torrential rain just before we arrived I was immediately struck by how friendly everyone was. Our Sat Nav somehow managed to take us to a trade entrance but we were cheerfully pointed in the right direction by some rather damp looking stewards and soon had our wristbands on ready to go. Lunar Festival 2015 Review

IMG_8895It’s the day after our visit to Lunar festival and I’ve just asked my 10 year old daughter to sum up her experience. Her response was “unique, exciting and awesome”. I have to say, I would pretty much agree with her. We had a wonderful day. Read more…

Magical Faerie Festival 2015 Review

Magical Faerie Festival 2015

This was such a lovely way for us to start the season. Magical Faerie Festival is such a short distance from my home in the beautiful Sussex Downs.

If you haven’t been to the Cuckmere valley, then it is worth a visit for the area’s year round appeal. But it is an even better idea to combine it with this festival. Read more…

Bearded Theory 2015 Review

This festival just gets bigger and better!

Beards!
Beards!

Bearded Theory first came to my attention three years ago, when I noticed a truly impressive line up for such a small event. We were lucky enough to win tickets the following year, and loved it. Going back this year, despite the location change I was expecting more of the same, but this was certainly not the case. Now in its eighth year, there was much MUCH more of the same and more so.
