In It Together is a brand new festival for 2022 set in the heart of the Welsh valleys situated next to Mariam Park at Old Park Farm, Neath, Port Talbot.
Maui Waui we love you! It’s been some years since we discovered a new festival and immediately felt at home. This perfectly formed little hidden gem ticked all the boxes for the whole family and we just adored it. A proper festival without the commercialism and rubbish of some these days, it just had that special authentic magic we haven’t found since saying goodbye to Festival Kidz favourite Blissfields.
The 8th Maui Waui was held at the festival’s new home of Hill Farm in Norfolk. Considering its tiny size of around 5,000 guests Maui Waui did not disappoint, and even though there were a few teething problems expected from a new festival location, we would highly recommend it to other families and are already planning to return with friends.
It was our family’s return to festivals after 2 years, and we headed to the seaside to experience everything Victorious Festival had to offer.
Festival Kidz reviewer Catherine has visited Victorious in 2018 and 2019, but this year a change of plans meant that Myself (Adam), my wife 2 boys age 7 + 10 could attend for the first time and experience the festival for ourselves.
It was with huge excitement that we packed our bags for our first festival in almost 2 years. As well as the conundrum as to what to pack for a mixed weather forecast, we also had to remember to pack our face masks in case we needed them.
In the year without festivals, a few festival-like events did actually happen. Certainly they were quieter than usual. But for those of us who enjoy smaller community events and who were desperately missing festivals in 2020, they were an incredible bolt of joy at such a difficult time.
We felt fortunate to be part of the lucky few who went to We Are Not a Festival in 2020. The venue was beautiful, and due to social distancing rules there was loads of space for the kids to run around in nature, and no queues for anything. Less choice meant less stress, and we had a weekend to relax together as a family, but still be around lots of other people. Even at a distance it was good to be around festival goers again.
This was the third Into the Trees for my family. We absolutely adore this perfectly chilled out little festival because it just seems to get everything right. As in previous years, we chose to visit for one day rather than the whole weekend.
Once again, we wished we had camped for the entire festival. The setting in Ashdown Forest is truly idyllic, and whilst there are easily enough activities to keep a family busy for three days, it is simply a gorgeous place to camp.
Into The Trees actively encourages families to enjoy, explore and respect our natural environment. The message is such an important one, and delivered in the best possible way, in a beautiful place.
We were all happy to be back at Chilled in a Field, one of our family’s favourite festivals. 2019 was the festival’s fourth time at Bentley, and it’s a great venue.
We returned to Southsea for our second Victorious and had another wonderful time. Its beautiful seaside location in Portsmouth makes it easy to get to. The line up is always amazing, with some really big names. Because of this, my children (15 and 11) absolutely love it. The kids’ field has an astonishing amount for children of all ages. Brilliant weather, music, food and activities created a perfect bank holiday weekend by the sea.
Beautiful Days is without a doubt a top contender for best weekend of the year. This goes not just for my family, but for thousands of its loyal patrons.
Every year the Levellers host an amazing festival that I think is impossible to out do, and yet it continues to improve. We have been to six Beautiful Days now as it is so brilliant for families. Indeed it is good for every age group, and I would have just as good an experience (although different) with or without children.
