Before sponsorship took over. Before you needed to take out a bank loan for a pint at the bar. Before the music made your ears bleed. Before the word ’boutique’ found a place in a field anywhere.
Beautiful Days festival remains true to its roots and is set firmly in the ‘good old days’.
Our family attended Nozstock 2016 and, once again, had a brilliant time! The festival is set in the beautiful rolling hills of Bromyard, Herefordshire and is a really magical place to visit. Read more…
My 6 year old son and I were given a last minute chance to spend Sunday at Wilderness Festival. No days spent choosing what to pack. I just threw some sun cream, water, a couple of apples, a hoody, a small blanket and a couple of glow sticks in a bag and we were off for an adventure. Read more…
“Hello, we’re Terrorvision and we’re from Bradford. Or should I say, we’re Terrorvision and we’re from the nineties!”
This cheeky statement summed up Bearded Theory for me, and got a huge cheer from the crowd for the same reason. Because for us it was truly a festival of nostalgia from the ‘good old days’ when we were younger.
The Bearded Theory crowd is truly something unique – I am sure these are the same people I was dancing in a field with all those years ago. So this is where everyone ended up! It was full of so many friendly up-for-it people.

Starry skies is a little hard to define. Running from Wednesday to Sunday it’s more of a mini family holiday than a weekend music festival and while there is some live music that isn’t the focus. Read more…

Organisers the length and breadth of the country dread the rain when they have put on an outdoor event. It’s easy to miss the essential spark of a particular festival when you are soaked to the bone and the kids are moaning.
This is what it was like last year but we came back undaunted. Keen to sample the WOMAD atmosphere to its full effect. Read more…
It’s the end of term, the children are flagging and I’m not sure that any of us have the energy left to do anything this weekend, let alone a festival! But we have such enduring happy memories of Larmer Tree Festival as a young family, that we wanted to see if it still retained its magic for us now they are a bit older. Read more…
