Festival reviews from the year 2016
Farmer Phil’s Festival 2016 Review
Farmer Phil’s is such a difficult festival to write a review about. It doesn’t tick any of the ‘family friendly festival’ boxes – the facilities are very basic and there’s not so much entertainment on offer as it’s so small, and there’s no dance music (although this might be good news for some!)
However, the festival was voted ‘best tiny festival 2015’ by our readers, and now that we have visited we understand why. It’s certainly different from all those ‘identikit’ commercial festivals out there. And it will certainly suit those parents wanting to take their children properly back to nature.
Geronimo 2016 Review
As it was not possible for one of the Festival Kidz team to attend Geronimo 2016, here’s a review from guest blogger Colette of We’re Going on an Adventure
The main focus of our May bank holiday this year was Geronimo Festival at Tatton Park. Now in it’s second year, Geronimo Festival promised to be even bigger and better than last year.
We had an absolutely fantastic time at Geronimo Festival last year so had high hopes for a repeat performance. Read more…
Lakefest 2016 Review
by Tim, Caroline, Gwilym (4) and Hazel (6)
Shambala 2016 Review
One of the things I love about Shambala is that the organisers obviously love it as much as I do. The extra thought given to details at this festival is simply incredible.
This year they put on so many extra little stages and acts that I’ve decided to concentrate on the new things! If you want to see what else is on offer – I would love it if you would go and read my other reviews. I reviewed Shambala in 2013, 2014 and 2015 as well (this is how much I love this festival).
Green Man 2016 Review
Just So 2016 Review
There has to be something magical about a festival that, even in the relentless rain, the kids can’t stop smiling. Read more…
Blissfields 2016 Review
More fun than a house party!
The big question was finally answered this year – can Blissfields survive bad weather? Every other year it had been blessed with hot sunny days, but in 2016 we were dealt heavy showers and storms. This could have dampened our spirits but it didn’t, as the answer was a definite YES! Read more…
Cornbury 2016 Review
Dancing, relaxing, playing, laughing, feasting…
These are the first five words that spring to mind when I think back on our four days at Cornbury. I think it’s testament to a really great festival, especially where children are involved, when you can come back feeling relaxed and switched off. We were lucky to have exactly that experience.
England’s Medieval Festival 2016 Review
As a family, we love castles, we love festivals and we love a bit of living history. Therefore, England’s Medieval Festival was a fantastic choice for us.
Goodwood Revival 2016 Review
Step back in time to a bygone age of style and sophistication
