Dance, Live Music, & Arts Festival
(where we play all day, and dance all night)

Chilled in a Field is a favourite of Festival Kidz because they have managed to retain the friendly festival vibe while creating a wonderful safe place for children to play. Due to its tiny size the children are free to roam around, make friends and explore while the parents can chill out and relax. There is live music, workshops and activities, local real ales and ciders, DJs and a relaxing Tea Tent so all tastes are catered for.

Chilled in a Field 2018 Review

The family festival that feels like a proper holiday

Chilled in a Field returned to Bentley in 2018 after a year off, and it felt like the festival had come back home. The venue works so well for the festival, and this year Chilled in a Field managed as close to a perfect festival as any I’ve been to.

Six reasons to be excited about 2018

A Glastonbury Festival fallow year is always a strange one for the people that go every year. I used to be one of them – and even now I still get a pang every year when it’s on – so I understand that you might have a festival-shaped hole to fill.

Still let’s hope that the 2018 hole isn’t just full of mud! Although even if it is, it won’t stop us from having fun.

The great thing is that now there are so many other festivals to go to (we have over 150 on our site, with more added every year) that you could use this year to explore something completely new. And if you find an amazing one, please do share it with us on our Facebook page, or email us on chat@festivalkidz.com!

CIAF 2014

Here are our top picks for 2015!

Whether a festival is good for you depends on what music you’re into and what other things you like doing at festivals, as well as the age of your kids. If you are new to festivals with kids, you may want to read our guide to Choosing the right Family-Friendly Festival.

We have included our affiliate links in the listings – if you click “Buy Tickets Now” you will go straight to the ticket page for your chosen festival. You will not pay anything for this but the festival will give us a small commission to keep Festival Kidz up and running – so please use them!

Chilled in a Field 2014 Review

CIAF 2014 - 59It’s easy to define what makes a good festival (organisation, facilities, activities and entertainment) but much harder to define what makes an exceptional one.

It’s just something about the atmosphere, the mix of people and the imagination of its creators. You get this right and you see magic happen, and that’s what Chilled in a Field manages to do every year.

I believe the main reason for this is because it is currently a non profit venture and run purely for the love of it – much like Festival Kidz in fact!
