Cornbury’s all-female Saturday bill!
It feels like no time at all since we were lamenting the loss of Cornbury Festival in our 2017 review. Last summer, the Cornbury faithful were told, would see the last ever Cornbury.
Skip to October: the news came in our mailbox that promoter Hugh Philimore, off the back of a huge public response, had decided to resurrect the festival!
Nozstock 2018 Preview
This summer Nozstock: The Hidden Valley celebrates its 20th anniversary, entering a small group of festivals who have reached two decades of creating magic each summer. It’s a huge achievement for the family-fun festival which is set across their working farm in the rolling hills of Herefordshire. This year the festival runs from Friday 20th – Sunday 22nd July.
It is an event which has grown from a group of like-minded friends gathered together many years ago into a truly mesmeric experience of wonder and enchantment for all the ages.
Looking Forward to Camp Bestival 2018
Camp Bestival is a firm favourite here at Festival Kidz and we are very excited about the 2018 edition. Much of the line up has already been announced, and it’s looking fantastic.
This Year’s Camp Bestival Theme
2018 has a nautical theme – think pirates, mermaids, jellyfish, sharks and crocodiles. There will be a whole host of seafaring themed entertainment to look forward to this year.

We wanted to give the best family festivals our ‘stamp of approval’ – as a reward for the great entertainment they have put on and the memories they have made for us.
These are the festivals that our writers return to year after year – those that we would feel like if we missed it we would be missing out. Many of us have made friends that we only see at these festivals – because we live nowhere near each other but we all return every year. These are the special festivals, and they deserve to be recognised.
Just So’s 2018 Programme Preview
Just So is a firm favourite here at Festival Kidz. We love the creativity that goes into every aspect of this wonderful family festival, from thoughtful planning through to perfect execution. It is quite simply a haven for families, filled with wonder and magic, where children can be children and adults can be… well, children too.
Six reasons to be excited about 2018
A Glastonbury Festival fallow year is always a strange one for the people that go every year. I used to be one of them – and even now I still get a pang every year when it’s on – so I understand that you might have a festival-shaped hole to fill.
Still let’s hope that the 2018 hole isn’t just full of mud! Although even if it is, it won’t stop us from having fun.
The great thing is that now there are so many other festivals to go to (we have over 150 on our site, with more added every year) that you could use this year to explore something completely new. Our 2017 Festival Highlights
Our festival highlights – Eloise (10) Charlotte (7) & Amelie (7)
The summer of 2017 was amazing. We had rain, we had mud, we had boiling hot sunshine… Yet we managed to dance our way through everything the British weather decided to throw at us.
We made new friends, we had paint fights, we learned to both throw and catch the diabolo, and most of all we found enjoyment in squelching through the mud!
Beware Ticket Payment Plans!
Many teenagers want to go to festivals with their friends (and not their parents!) so it’s only fair they pay for their own ticket. This is where ticket payment plans come in handy.
However, given the experience of a teenager featured on the BBC Radio 4 consumer advice program “You and Yours” today you may want to check the small print before signing up. Read more…
