Victorious Festival 2021 Review
It was our family’s return to festivals after 2 years, and we headed to the seaside to experience everything Victorious Festival had to offer.
Festival Kidz reviewer Catherine has visited Victorious in 2018 and 2019, but this year a change of plans meant that Myself (Adam), my wife 2 boys age 7 + 10 could attend for the first time and experience the festival for ourselves.
Geronimo Festival 2017 Review
The biggest children’s festival in the country; Geronimo Festival moved home this year from Tatton Park, Cheshire to Arley Hall. I had never visited the previous place so cannot compare the two but the new site had plenty of room to cater for all ages of children, as well as the young at heart. With everything from free donkey rides and ferret racing (your children actually race the ferrets along human sized tunnels!) to large scale stunt shows and circus displays you will not hear the words “I’m bored” at any point during your visit.

Flummoxed 2014 Review
The Flummoxed Festival was tiny. Teeny weeny tiny. Previously I had thought a festival with under 5000 people was small, but this one had 150 people, including the kids.
So I’m not sure whether the Flummoxed Festival is a festival or not, or just a lovely family friendly camping event with lots of live music and activities added for good measure.
But this was actually what made it a very enjoyable, friendly, relaxing experience and one that my whole family would readily do again next year.
This is a fledgling festival which appears to offer something quite different for families, a bit of a middle ground between staying on a normal camp site and going to a large, noisy festival.
Best festivals for toddlers 2014
The toddler stage is possibly the most difficult age to do festivals, but it doesn’t mean it can’t be done!
For really young kids we recommend small festivals, particularly if you are not an experienced festival-goer or camper. For a successful festival experience with toddlers you need space to run around or relax, less crowds, smaller distances between campsite, arena and carpark, a good selection of child-friendly food and a willingness to take things at your toddler’s pace (see also Naomi’s Top Tips for doing Festivals with Toddlers).

Chilled in a Field 2013 Review
Chilled in a Field is small but perfectly formed
*Chilled* in a Field will always mean something special to our family, as it was the first festival for our two youngest last year, aged only 2. We wanted to visit it again but I admit I was a little bit concerned that as we had since been to much bigger festivals we might be disappointed in one so small. However I shouldn’t have worried – what *Chilled* misses out in big names and variety of entertainment it more than makes up for with atmosphere, enthusiasm and heart.
