Bearded Theory 2019 was truly a festival for the whole family. I saw so many children there that at points I wondered whether there was anyone who hadn’t come with kids! I think the reason that it was so popular was the balance. There was something for everybody, with tents offering everything from cabaret to dance. […]
Arrival Bearded Theory may well win the award for the most amazingly helpful staff. Steve and his colleagues on the disabled campsite moved bins and toilets around to make room for us when we arrived late on Friday night. He even helped mend our inflatable tent for us when half of it collapsed due to […]
Beards, barrows and brilliant music “Hello, we’re Terrorvision and we’re from Bradford. Or should I say, we’re Terrorvision and we’re from the nineties!” This cheeky statement summed up Bearded Theory for me, and got a huge cheer from the crowd for the same reason. This festival just gets bigger and better! Bearded Theory first came to my attention three years ago, when I noticed a truly impressive line up for such a small event. Bearded Theory ……Angels with Dirty Faces I expected a lot from Bearded as they were voted for by festival-going parents to win a Gold award in the FK awards last year, and I am pleased to say I was not disappointed. Bearded Theory is an excellent “small” festival, it is well priced, has an eclectic […]
Review by Joanne Murphy: Bearded Theory 2013 was my 2nd ever festival. Sitting near a river, listening to a waterfall (all very safely fenced off), whilst the kids play under a huge ancient tree, was a million miles away from anything I expected my first Bearded experience to be.
Bearded Theory, 18-20th May 2012, Kedleston Hall, Derbyshire Festival Kidz Reviewers: The Hogan Family (Mike, Gaelle, Celeste & Lily)
2009, 10, 11 Bearded Theory Weather: Quite cool but has been mainly dry every year. Review by: Tezgloss (with 2 kids aged 5 and 2) Great little festival, with big name bands and very reasonably priced, fab for kids and for us!!!
It’s hard to think of Bearded Theory without remembering the delightful Red Barrows. Festivals often have regular acts that are invited back year after year due to their unwaivering popularity. Bearded Theory’s staple favourites are The Red Barrows from Bonsall.
